| | The elementary Dog Collar Alligator Fete was held in in 1979 at the Willowdale Country Dog Collar Order in Luling, Louisiana. The only factor sold at the leading festivities was alligator dishes made around neighbourhood pub residents. Each year the festivities became bigger and a wider selection of bread and activities were offered.
