| | The outset Dog Collar Alligator Celebration was held in in 1979 at the Willowdale Realm Dog Collar Club in Luling, Louisiana. The only aspect sold at the first holiday was alligator dishes made around local residents. Each year the anniversary became bigger and a wider selection of commons and activities were offered.
