Lately there has been info from CCP that they want to introduce micropayements into Eve online. First thing that will be available for sale is skill remap.
Eve online is an excellent MMO as it is. Single server, about 35 thousand people online, thousands of people clashing with each other in attempts to create little space empires.
When I heard about this concept I was like WTF. We already pay a monthly fee for playing this game. Now they attempt to give advantages for those who can pay additional euro for the game? There is already a decent system implemented which allows those with spare money to legally buy ISK eve money. This system works fine for quite some time now and is one of the best ideas implemented by CCP.
But micropayements are bad. If you look at all other MMOs that decided to implement micropayements you will notice that all of those MMOs balance is now broken. It always starts with unimportant things but the demand for more powerful items sooner or later spins the system out of control.
Players with to much real money get great advantage over players who cant afford to spend more than the monthly fee.
So CCP do not break Eve. Rise the monthly fee if you have to to but don't mess up the fragile balance of New Eden. kredyt bez bik
