They grow 15 to 25 ft. It displays floral in late March. In the fall it shows a reddish purple foliage with red drupe clusters. The fruit will feed the birds creating a utopic haven. They thrive best with organic matter added to the soil such as mulch or compost. Other shade loving shrubs would include Japenese Kerria, smooth Hydrangea, Mountain Laurel, Rhododendron and High Brush Blueberry. A great site to check out isbelow.
